Myfishbites Media have a wealth of varied musical experience with projects including the projects below. We work both in studio and live projects, to record and train (young people). We also can deliver PA at events, as we do regularly for churches, youth clubs and and other organisations - such as services, funerals, anniversaries, celebrations.

: Overview :

Myfishbites Media have wide and deep experience working in all areas of music. We have supported music lessons, written songs for and with students, trained students in guitar-based bands (have worked with 3 bands), written songs for schools and school plays. We've had projects creating sound FX for school productions, studio and on-location recording and in live PA work.

Bands

A recent comment after we helped deliver an ordination service for a qualifiying Baptist Minister (advising, training and empowering several people to make this happen) was the following:

"Thanks for your help and advice with the ordination service - without it, the whole thing would have been a total shambles! The band sounded great and this is a testament of all the time you have invested in them."

Guitar Lessons

We are able to provide guitar lessons for young people and older people alike. We have a very informal style combined with what we hope are excellent teaching and interpersonal skills. We are able to work with new guitarists, to work on basic skills, intermediate guitarists and to advise aspiring musicians and band members. We have worked with several young people to help them within worship bands and to be worship leaders.

: Live PA / Sound :

Myfishbites Media is able to provide professional sound equipment and services for small to medium sized functions. This includes church services and events, special events, birthdays, celebrations, funerals and anniversaries. This can be combined with visual services as well, if needs be. We have an array of equipment available to use. We also provide PA for bands and have the necessary live audio gear to deliver this very effectively. The equipment is not available for dry hire - Myfishbites Media and its associates come with the equipment at all times.

: Massive experience running and organising quality events :

Picture shows the band playing at the 'FNX' event in Summer 2006. We helped make this event happen as part of a team. As with many other events, we are one of the main organisers. This event now happens 3 times a year and includes a significant schools work element.

: Original tracks for school productions :

Another example is a ' space-age-rap' song (not a proper rap), written to a brief by a school, where we wrote and trained a young person to perform the music too - click here for the mp3 from his performance.

: CD recording, engineering, mastering and distribution :

We have a great deal of experience in recording (especially with young people), training young people vocally, in bands (both male and female) and allowing them to create their own songs and CDs. We also provide backing tracks for schools, churches and other organisations.

Another area of skill is in mastering and recording audio, using professional tools such as Logic, Rode, Korg, Roland, Ibanez, Shure, MOTU, Focusrite equipment - and bringing a musical background and experience into the mix!

One example was recording a full CD for a junior school Christmas production. This involved recording 80 children aged 8-9, including soloists. The CD was successfully distributed with a printed cover to students, parents and teachers.

: 'Rap' backing that won a radio competition for a school :

Click here for an mp3 clip backing track for a junior school, which won an award from a radio station. The clip is from the radio. Please note we did not record the vocals, only the backing music track - our vocals would have been higher quality! We also had involvement in choosing the best lyrics from the children.

: Training and empowering young people to write music / digital media :

Myfishbites Media have the ability to train and release students to write / record their own music with Apple's Garage Band, Logic Express and other software. This training is also available for web design (Dreamweaver, Photoshop) and the shooting / editing of video (iMovie or Final Cut Pro).
